What is Sucralose?

Splenda is not truly “No Calorie” because it typically contains carbohydrate bulking agents. But our sucralose powder and liquid are truly Calorie-free.

Powder vs. Liquid

Pure sucralose is solid. Our sucralose powder is 100% sucralose and nothing else. But any “Liquid Sucralose” is sucralose dissolved in water and other ingredients. There is no “pure liquid sucralose.” Our Liquid Sucralose sweetener contains 25% sucralose by weight, so it is about 200 times as sweet as sugar. (Other sellers do not tell you the concentration. We do because it reduces your guesswork when converting to equivalent sugar amount.)

• Powder is pure (100% concentration).
• It’s easy to add too much sucralose because of its extreme sweetness. Liquid may allow better control because of its lower concentration. The dropper helps, too.
• Liquid is at 25% concentration (still a high concentration and needs diluting).
• Some sellers claim their sucralose liquids have higher concentration. Fact: sucralose’s solubility in water is about 26% at room temperature (we tested it at 27% this summer), beyond which it will dissolve no more. Our 25%-concentration liquid is near the upper limit, so any “higher” or “highest” concentration will add 2% at best.
